Our mission is to provide foods that are beneficial to our health and sustainable for our planet, while also supporting local farms and businesses. Our menu is almost entirely locally-sourced and organic, & any of our menu items can be made vegan and/or gluten-free.

When founder Lindsay Mescher decided to go plant-based in 2008, there were no options in town for healthy, vegetarian take-out and dining. This encouraged her to start creating her own recipes. Her love of cooking and passion for nutrition & whole foods inspired her to dream of one day opening a café with a focus on health and sustainability.
In 2010, Lindsay moved to Nashville, TN, to work as a music publisher and enjoy the city's up-and-coming foodie offerings. Feeling completely inspired, Lindsay began hosting supper clubs at her home where she could try out her latest creations on friends. For over a decade, she has been creating recipes and taking notes.
After the sudden loss of her brother, Lindsay “retired” from her career in the music industry and moved home to be with family. This is when she decided to start Greenhouse Cafe in the community that she knows and loves so well, the place she calls home.
